The Wedding!
Nick's best man from our wedding got married this past weekend. Nick was a groomsman, I was the personal attendant, and Cole and Claire were ring bearer and flower girl. When they asked us for Cole and Claire to be in the wedding a year ago, I thought it would be so great! And it was great, they did amazing, but being the mother of two 2-year-olds in a wedding was very stressful! Since Nick was in the wedding he was unavailable most of the day to help, I wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for my parents! While we definetly had ups and downs throughout the day, they walked beatifully down the ilse with big smiles just like we had talked about for the last month! I would never have guessed Claire would be leading the way down the isle after seeing her crying and asking to take her dress off 15 minutes before the wedding started! We even made it through dinner and danced for quite a while before I sent them home so I could relieve a little stress (which I did, didn't I Marcie)! Overall, looking back on it, they did a great job, especially compared to what I expected! Congrats Josh and Sarah, our family had a wonderful time at your wedding!
Practice hair day on Thursday, I needed to make sure she would sit still while I curled it, and she did!
Immediately after making it down the isle, we were so happy! The kids did not sit through the wedding, after 2 hours of sitting through pictures, they couldn't sit still!
Cane, of course, did an amazing job of just hanging out all day!I had a little relaxing to do after the wedding!
4th of July Weekend!
These snakes don't light as well as I remember!
We spent the day on the farm with Marcie and Chad. The kids had a blast, and I think Marcie and Chad enjoyed it as well. As Chad says, he was the father figure for the day, more like Cole's idol for the day! Marcie enjoyed not having to share a baby with anyone!
Cole and Chad were best buddies, he told Chad he wanted to be a farmer!
Giving each other rides on the "little" tractor.
I don't think he realized that baby pigs squeal really loud instead of say "oink!"
Chad and I agreed that Marcie touching a baby calf was a better picture than Cole and Claire!
