The only circus the kids have been to was at Adventureland, and it doesn't really count. It is very short with very few animals. This circus was pretty good, not huge, but better than Adventureland. They had a a bunch of lions, which really got the twins attention. Cane kept roaring at them. They also enjoyed watching the elephants.
And of course, May was extremely busy with the end of school activities! On the last day, our high school watched a helicopter land on our football field. A National Guard Leiutenant spoke to our students about alcohol and drug prevention for the summer, and our administration was going for the "wow" factor. They got it from my kids! I ran over to Jane's (babysitter) and picked up the twins to watch the helicopter land. They thought it was so great! In the picture with me are two of my friends/teacher at school and their kids.
Cole asked him if he could fly it, "just for a little bit?"
Tee-ball was the best part of May! Cole was so excited, but Claire took a little convincing in the beginning. In fact, I agreed to dance classes this fall if she played t-ball. It is so hard for me to really comprehend how they got so old, old enough to be standing on a softball/baseball field. I really wanted them to both enjoy it, especially since I spent every summer on a field since when I was growing up. They both did love it! Claire was really nervous in the car on our way to her first practice, but after that, she would ask when she got to go again often. While she enjoys herself, she doesn't really get the concepts of the game yet, she is there playing, but she really isn't too die hard yet. Cole, on the other hand, is ready as soon as he steps on the field. Don't get me wrong, he is occasionally spacing off or doing cartwheels (yes Cole, claire is not nearly coordinated enough yet), but when it is time to play, he is typically ready! Here are a few pictures from games and practices.

Claire is number 8.
She is the one on the far left of this photo.
While they enjoy playing tball, the love running over to the park afterwards! Thank goodness the tball field is at the school right by the playground. Cane would never make it, I would never make it, if it wasn't there to entertain him!
They love this tire swing!
