Easter Egg Hunts Everywhere!

We had a fun-packed weekend. That Easter Bunny sure does make his way around quickly!
We started out the weekend at Grandma McQuinns coloring Easter Eggs!

Cane and Claire were too scared to sit with the bunny, but not Cole!

This was their first big easter egg hunt! They were so excited!

Cane wasn't sure what to do first, he caught on quick putting the eggs in his basket, but once he realized their was candy in them, he concentrated more on opening the eggs rather than picking them up!

These are two of my very good friends from high school who also happened to be at the Easter Egg Hunt!

We then had egg hunt #2 at Grandma McQuinns.

It was so beautiful outside so we decided to play some tag and duck, duck, goose!

Of course, there were some races! This is pretty fairly matched, the old man with bad knees and the pregnant woman!

The Easter bunny found us back at home on Sunday for egg hunt #3!

The water guns were a big hit!

Of course, for Cane, it is all about the "Nee-Nee" or candy!

Surpise, Claire picked the princess gift to hold. And I wonder why she told me that "girls don't play baseball." I support her princess themed lifestyle. She did agree to playing T-ball this summer if I sign her up for dance classes also!

On to Grandma McCumber's house where the easter bunny dropped off another round of Easter Baskets!

We love to swing on the rope swing at Great Grandma Eberts!

And Egg Hunt # 4 is underway!

It is always great to go to Great Grandpa Ebert's farm!

We finished the day in Nashua at Steve McCumber's farm, Nick's uncle. Of course, the boys had some work to do picking up the trunk and branches to a tree that was cut down at Steves to take over to Nick's Grandpa Ebert's farm.

Of course, Jerry and Pat (Nick's uncle and aunt) filled in for the Easter bunny by getting the kids bubble guns!

This is Cane's naughty face, he picked up Claire's bubble gun when she wasn't looking and made this face at me because he knew he would be in trouble when she realized it!

Spring Break!

Cane loves the water, he is fearless! He doesn't even really mind going under!

Abby is one of my best friends from college. She and I were random roommates our freshman year, and I still love her dearly! We love to go to her house and play with her kids! Brayden, her 2 year old, is a little shy and wouldn't take his picture.

Teachers Trip!

A group of teachers, plus a few of their spouses went to Texas in March. We received a National Award from the Association for Supervision of Curriculum Development (ASCD) called The Vision in Action Award. For all you teachers, their big initiative is "educating the whole child." It was a wonderful honor, and we had a great time! I didn't have my camera at the awards ceremony, I am trying to hunt down a picture.

We did make the trip to the Alamo, although there is not much of a wow factor.
We definitely enjoyed the sun on the Riverwalk!

Fun in Feb!

Happy Birthday Grandpa McQuinn!

We had to blow the candles out multiple times to give everyone a chance!

Please take a close look at Cane's PJ's. Those are real, live lizzards on his shirts. That was all Daddy's doing one day when he was at home alone with the kids. I came home to find pet lizzards in our house, luckily they are in their tank in the basement.

Darn Snow!

This is the all that you can see of our swing set, and what is more amazing, it the 5 feet of snow beneath it is solid, even I can walk on it!

Once again, the drift behind the barn allows my kids to use the roof as a slide!

Cole and Claire loved the snowmobile this year!

You would think they were at a snow hill or in a parking lot, unfortunately, this is one of many piles from our driveway at our house!
The kids are loving the snowmobile!

This was the worst storm, we had 4-5 feet of snow drifted over our driveway! Nick can usually get the driveway cleared with the plow, but it wouldn't cut it this weekend!

This is our neighbor coming to dig us out!

Christmas!

Great Grandma Meyer sent us money, so we thought it was fitting to get fishing poles to use at the Meyer reunion and at her house this summer!

Godparents!

Cole seriously won this game of boxing, and I am pretty sure that Matt is too competitive to let him win, so I don't think he threw the game!

The annual McQuinn Picture!

Claire has never really been into babies, but this one she got from Great Grandma McCumber, Jerry and Pat she carries everywhere!

Cane can never have too many tractors!

Hurry Tony! Hurry!

Tim handing out the candy!

We did rock out on Christmas!

Christmas night at Great Grandma McCumbers!

At our house on Christmas morning!

Santa was very good to us!

Our Preschool Christmas Concert! Cole couldn't get enough of the attention, and Claire only smiled one time when she spotted me!
