Summer events!

This summer we switched rooms! Cane moved in with Cole to his "big boy" bed, and Claire got her own room! She loves it! I was afraid she would have been a little lonely, but the smile on her face the first night I tucked her in to her new bed said it all, "I can finally have a girl room!"

The boys have been enjoying themselves in their room also, I was afraid Cane would bother Cole, but not so far! Cole is an early bird, I was afraid he would wake Cane up, but Cane is more like Claire in that respect, he enjoys staying up later and sleeping in!

I went to Marice's house this summer to help her paint her nursery room and attend a few country concerts at Steamboat Days in Burlington. We had a blast! I spent four days painting, relaxing, hanging out with her friends, and singing! It was so great! The nursery turned out wonderful, we were a little hesitant when we started, but decided just to wing it and see how it went. It paid off, it was adorable!

For the 4th of July, we went to Nick's parents and to the parade and fair in Shell Rock. They bring in a bunch of blow up toys for the kids. A favorite was the jousting! It was hilarious!

Cane was terrified of fireworks when we did them at our house, he did a little better with the Shell Rock fireworks!

The best part of summer has been all the lazy days at the pool.....

And spending time playing together and reading books!
